The show will be under the musical direction of John Atkin, who has steered many of YMTC musical productions. The company has been running now since 1902, changing it`s name from the York Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society to York Musical Theatre Company in celebration of it`s centenary in 2002. From the very first production, The Pirates of Penzance to the latest, Jekyll and Hyde The Musical(May 2022), YMTC have performed some of the best known of all Musical Theatre shows; from Oliver to Cabaret, Oklahoma to Carousel, My Fair Lady to Fidler of the Roof, the list goes on...And in 2004 YMTC were delighted to perform the UK premiere of Titanic the Musical at York Theatre Royal, to great acclaim.
