After the success of Art in the Park over the last couple of years, the Friends of Rowntree Park are launching ‘Art in the Park 2023’ and are looking for local artists to submit work based on the loose theme of ‘Rowntree Park through the seasons'.

Artists are asked to register interest using the online form and the deadline for final submissions of work is the 30th of June 2023. The work will be displayed in the centre of the park through Summer and Autumn.

The theme of ‘Rowntree Park through the seasons’ invites the opportunity for the artists to interpret this how they wish.  A variety of art styles have been on display in the park including mixed media, printing, textiles, painting and more. Artists involved have included Adele Karmazyn, Leon Francis Dumount, Emma Frost, Elliot Harrison, Guy Ruston, Donna Marie Taylor, Jane Duke, Rebecca Mason, Emma Feneley and many more! Park users have highlighted ‘art in the park’ of one of their most loved projects that the Friends run.

Abigail Gaines - Friends of Rowntree Park Charity Manager:

“Park users have highlighted ‘art in the park’ as one of their most loved projects that the Friends run.  It is so interesting to see the park through artists' eyes and I’m excited to see what this year's submissions include! Art in the park is a great opportunity to highlight the work of talented local people to a wide number of park users. Many of the community of commented on how they love seeing the art displayed and being introduced to various styles of work and artists”.
