City of York Council are signposting parents and carers to a wide range of local and national support as part of a new campaign to help connect families with the right financial help.
There are a wide range of benefits and support programmes that are available and you might be surprised at what you could be entitled to. Support for families include free school meals and holiday activities, help with buying school uniforms and financial support with the cost of childcare.
Anyone struggling with financial problems is being encouraged to firstly check you’re receiving everything you’re entitled to, reduce outgoings as much as possible, and not struggle alone.
