National Trust Easter Egg Trails Near You

Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to a spring adventure in the countryside around York, celebrating nature, history and beauty.

From getting active in the great outdoors, to spotting the signs of spring, and experiencing nature bursting into life, there are three trails to choose from, or as each is one is completely different, try all three over the school holidays. Trails are running 1 – 16 April.

Follow winding garden paths, crash along treelined trails or time travel around ruins. Your pack includes a pencil to keep, bunny ears and a trail sheet with ten points full of nature and play challenges. And of course, each National Trust Easter trail ends with a chocolate egg, or vegan and free from egg, made here in the UK using cocoa that's responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

National Trust Easter egg trails cost £3 per participant, plus normal National Trust admission/free entry for National Trust members and under-fives.

Beningbrough Hall, Gallery and Gardens
Eight miles north of York, off the A19

Wander along the wiggly path and are you brave enough to sniff the smelly wellies? Have a go at hopscotch and try skipping around the stakes to name just a few of the activities you’ll face on your garden adventure.

As you make your way along the trail try launching eggs down an egg ramp, comparing your hand to an animal footprint and practising your aim with a very hungry otter.
