A magical world of animal creatures is coming to York all the way from America. Rookscroft and Company are preparing to open in York on Stonegate around mid-November. It is a gallery and gift shop of unique animal artwork created by artist and author Jayne Siroshton.
The animal characters are from her fictional book‘ land beyond the Sea’ called Rookscroft. Jayne has published two illustrated books featuring these characters, with a third on the way, the books themselves will also be on sale.
There will also be other gifts themed around the characters for sale including jigsaw puzzles, mugs, tea towels, and more. Jayne’s previous shop and gallery was in Washington, USA, however, last autumn when Jayne visited York on holiday, she realised it was the perfect place to bring Rookscroft.
