More protests for disability rights took place in the centre of York last week, with the ongoing issue of blue badge parking the key talking point.

Almost 100 people gathered outside the Mansion House before last Thursday’s full council session.

The protestors called for the City of York Council to reverse their decision to get rid of several blue badge spaces in the City.

More than 2,700 postcards, handwritten by the protesters, were collected by 27 community groups and handed to Keith Aspden, the leader of the council.
