A costumed Dick Turpin and others participated in the riverside clean up to clear the litter from the River Ouse which was organised by the Dungeons owner Merlin Entertainments and the Sea Life Trust.
General Manager of York Dungeon Mark Mattison claimed that the York Dungeon see litter in our oceans and rivers as a “global crisis” and that “Global Beach Clean provides a simple and effective way in which everybody can help turn the tide on litter”.
