Disruption at York station due to essential maintenance.

Travel from York Station will be disrupted due to essential engineering work over the Christmas period.

The re-tracking of parts of station will begin on Christmas Eve and last until Monday the 2^nd of January. The refurbishment will see the replacement of 1.67 miles of track at a cost of £6 million.

In addition to the track improvements, one third of the stations Marygate car park spaces will be unavailable from Monday the 19^th of December until Friday the 6^th of January to make room for the track equipment.

Due to this disruption rail replacement services will be brought in for journeys affected.
