Haxby Road Academy named primary school of the year in national competition.
Haxby Road Academy was named primary school of the year at the 2023 Education Awards in Manchester this week, with the Educational Hero Award also presented to the assistant head Josh Hind.
The primary school had already beaten 2000 others in the Yorkshire region to make it to the finals. Headteacher Laura Robinson said it is an “incredible honour” and is a reflection on the incredible work of staff at Haxby Road.
