This July, York folks are invited to support York and Scarborough Hospitals Charity by hosting their own fundraising tea party in celebration of the NHS’s 75th birthday!
Now entering its sixth year, the NHS Big Tea brings the nation together to celebrate the birthday of our national treasure and give thanks to NHS - while at the same time raising money to fund the little extras to make things better for staff and patients.
Maya Liversidge, Community Fundraiser, York and Scarborough Hospitals Charity, explained: “This year the NHS turns 75 and we want to make the NHS Big Tea bigger and better than ever.
“Every penny raised from a Big Tea Party will directly benefit patients in York Hospital. Fundraisers can choose where they would like to make their difference - so, whether that’s supporting a particular ward or service dear to their heart, they can help make a difference by simply asking for a donation in return for a brew and a slice of cake. It’s also the perfect excuse to get to get together with family and friends!”
