A letter from the Home Office which has been seen by the Yorkshire Post claims that “analysis and consideration of whether or not to accommodate asylum seekers at RAF Linton is still ongoing”.

As reported last week by Jorvik Radio over 4,000 local residents have signed a petition calling for the Government to reconsider.

After raising the matter at the Committee of Back Bench MP’s with the Prime Minister, Local MP Kevin Hollinrake is said to be hopeful that ministers will think again.
