The Grand Opera House has joined an initiative that focuses on the need for more diversity in the live entertainment industry. The partnership between Ambassador Theatre Group and the charity Get Into Theatre has created a nationwide careers programme. Work In Theatre aims to improve access to career pathways for underprivileged and underrepresented young people.
The year-long project shall be delivered in three parts: Work Experience, Teacher Conference and Emerging Artist Commissions. It aims to reach over 30,000 young people, teachers, and freelance artists across the UK. For more information, visit the Get Into Theatre website.
