An update has been given by North Yorkshire Police, about an incident where a man sadly died after a disturbance in a York jewelry shop.

An update has been given by North Yorkshire Police, about an incident where a man died after a disturbance in a York jewelry shop.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct notified North Yorkshire Police that they will not be investigating the police’s actions at the incident in Mappin and Webb jewellers on Coney Street on 26th July.

39 year-old Sam Diatta, began having medical difficulty after being restrained in the shop by staff and members of the public. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at around 6:40pm on the day.
