There are plans for 5 padel courts to be constructed by London's We are Padel.
Plans for new sports facilities in Clifton Moor have got councillor backing, but a Planning Committee B meeting heard that the Vue Cinema had not been made fully aware of the proposals regarding parts of its car park, and still has time to respond to them. If the plans are agreed to by the cinema, the facilities will include 5 padel courts, similar to tennis courts, constructed by London based We are Padel.
All members of the committee support the plans, and Cllr Stephen Fenton said: “I think it’s a good application. It’s an emerging leisure activity. It seems a good use of what is a sad and empty bit of car park- a good development in a good place.”
