Racing and music fans enjoy weekend to remember

Over 45,000 people were in attendance at York Racecourse this weekend, for two days of racing and musical performances. The Sky Bet Jump Jockeys Nunthorpe Handicap race took place on Friday and Saturday, with both days finishing off with live music.

Friday night’s entertainment came from well-known band, Madness, with the Sugababes performing to a crowd of 25,000 on the Saturday.

York Racecourse’s Head of Marketing and Sponsorship, James Brennan, noted that: “We’ve had two great evenings of music and racing, and everyone has had a great time”.
