Scarcroft School pupils in York raising money for library by walking 25,000 miles

They are hoping to hit their fundraising total of £15,000 so that pupils and their families will have access to a range of books and texts which will help learning.

The pupils and staff at Scarcroft School are setting out to walk almost 25,000 miles as part of a fundraising initiative. They have set themselves the mammoth challenge to raise funds to restock and improve the school library and develop reading areas across the school.

Laura Taylor, who is a Teaching Assistant at Scarcroft Primary, has been working with the school’s parents’ association, to get the walk off to a fantastic start. They are hoping to hit their fundraising total of £15,000 so that pupils and their families will have access to a range of books and texts which will help learning.
