Resident locals of Westminster road are protesting plans made by St Peters school top expand their facilities.
St Peters school plan to create a new hockey pitch, tennis courts, netball courts and cricket nets with an accompanied car parking and a coach drop off area.
These changes would affect Westminster road by altering the roads present cul-de-sac status by turning it into a through road to the private school.
Residents of the street as well as neighbouring streets have voiced their concern stating that the proposal “will increase traffic flow up to 15 hours a day” and that the single-track entrance will “inevitably become a bottleneck with tailbacks in both directions”.
