Two pairs of childrens shows - "before and after" cleaning by Twenty Two Kicks

Twenty Two Kicks are a sneaker cleaning company who also focus on buying old unwanted footwear, cleaning them up and reselling for under retail price and are asking for families to donate their children's unused footwear.

Twenty Two Kicks will be holding a pop up event on 19th and 20th August at City Screen Picturehouse and are urging everyone to keep sending in their children's footwear that they no longer use and they will be cleaned and repaired.  Please dont send in shoes with holes in soles as these cannot be repaired.  All sizes and all footwear shoes, gym trainers, football boots, etc are needed. There are drop off points/donation bins around York and in Pocklington.

All families struggling with the cost of living crisis are invited to come along and take a pair of shoes free of charge, no questions asked. "All we ask is that you only take what you need."

Krissy Wainwright said "We want to create an environment where we end the stigma around buying and wearing second hand footwear! We promote sustainability and affordability throughout our business so when deciding on what we wanted to do to help the community, a shoe school donation project seemed like a no brainer. "

Drop off locations are -

City Screen Picturehouse, Coney Street

Spark York, Piccadilly

Web Adventure Park, Wigginton Road

York Leisure Centre, Monks Cross Drive

York Sports Village and York Sports Centre, University of York, Lakeside Way, Heslington
