One of the worst streets in York for potholes is set to close next week. Shipton Street in Clifton will be closed from Monday the 24th of July until Friday the 28th, between 8 am and 5 pm.
There are potholes running the full length of the street to each of its junctions at Burton Stone Lane and Newborough Street. It’s unknown whether the plans are to patch up some of the many potholes or whether it’s for a full resurface.
