The latest York Restaurant Week has been the most successful to date

The whole scheme has given the hospitality industry in York a giant boost.

The week is organised by York BID, and is a celebration of the fantastic food and drink venues that York has to offer.

The first of two restaurant weeks this year, the spring event ran from 11-17 March.

Over 100 businesses took part with a collective total of 200 offers across food and drink.

In total, just over 17,000 vouchers were downloaded, generating a total of £319,000, making it the most successful restaurant week to date.
