Get Cycling are super excited to be announced as the exclusive specialist cycle partner for the Superhero Series powered by Marvel events. The series is the only mass participation sports series dedicated to the 14.4 million people with disabilities across the nation. Get Cycling is a North Yorkshire based, non-profit cycle shop that is helping to make cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of ability.

The range of inclusive cycles provided for the Series will make it possible for everyone to join in on the fun, allowing them to discover the joys of cycling and experience a sense of freedom and accomplishment. This is a perfect match for the Superhero Series ethos of 'anything goes' where the emphasis is on making sure that all Superheroes have what they need to take part in the Superhero Tri and Winter Wonderwheels, their two annual events.

Get Cycling are revolutionising the cycling industry with their wide range of inclusive cycles, making it possible for everyone to take part in cycling challenges, regardless of their physical activity level. The company will be providing participants with suitable cycles at both of this years Superhero Series live events, enabling all ages and abilities to join in. From wheelchair transporters to trikes, recumbents to handcycles, and tandems to side-by-sides, there is something for everyone to choose from.

This year the Superhero Series hold two live events at Dorney Lake, Windsor, plus two ‘At Home’ events, all of which can be completed however you like. The Series throws out restrictive rules and regulations and encourages participants to use any method of support required to complete their challenge. All ‘gadgets and gismos’ are welcomed, from floats and boats to adaptive bikes and trikes. Participants can choose between flying solo or teaming up with ‘Sidekicks’ to take on the unique challenges with as much or as little time and support as they need.

To make sure there is a suitable cycle ready and waiting for each participant, all you need to do is sign up to the event and then contact the Get Cycling team to book your cycle. You can find more details here: getcycling.org.uk/superhero-tri-2023/

Joanne Mahon, CEO of Get Cycling, said; “Being selected as the main cycle supplier for both of the Superhero Series events this year is a huge milestone for our non-profit CIC. Making cycling inclusive is at the core of everything we do here at Get Cycling and the Superhero Series is the perfect way to promote an accessible society, we are very proud to be a part of it!”

Located in York, North Yorkshire, but delivering nationwide, they have the widest range of specialist, inclusive and adaptable cycles in the whole of the UK. The Get Cycling team are extremely proud to be recognised for this fact by being selected to support these incredible events.

Sophia Warner, Paralympian and Founder of the Superhero Series said; “Making our events possible and fun for the Superheroes to take part in is always our main aim. This is a perfect partnership and we are super excited to be working with Joanne and the team at Get Cycling."
