The University of York has now accepted that the well-loved Duck, who became a viral hit on social media, has sadly passed away. Long Boi, the 70cm tall duck has not been seen on campus for almost two months, leading fans to accept the sorry news.
In a post published on Facebook yesterday, the university wrote: "Following a period of almost two months without a confirmed sighting of Long Boi, we are today forced to conclude that he has passed away." The Student Union is now wanting to celebrate his life and is working on organising a tribute to him.
