Village Gallery in Colliergate, York has closed down after six years.
A well-known city centre shop which sold jewellery, art and collectables has put up a sign in the window which reads:
“The curtain has descended and we are now closed. We'd like to say a big thank you to all of our customers and to the amazing artists who have supported us over our years here in Colliergate.”
The sign further mentions that they haven’t left completely and you can find them online via their website: http://village-on-the-web.com.
Known for selling to TV show Bargain Hunt, the shops jewellery and Lalique can be seen at the Antique Centre York, 41 Stonegate.
