York band Shed Seven have landed their first ever UK number-one album in their 30th year. The Shed’s new album A Matter of Time has topped the UK charts after being released on the 5th of January. It is the sixth album in a career spanning three decades for the group which includes Rick Witter, Paul Banks, Tom Gladwin, Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield.
This makes Shed Seven the first band from York ever to top the UK album chart officially. The band returns to York in two homecoming shows in July at the Museum Gardens on the 19th and the 20th. Both of which are already sold out.
