"We are absolutely delighted to have Chris on board, as soon as we met him on the first occasion, he felt like the right person and that was something that I said we really needed. Having now met with him 4-5 times, I'm confident he brings the experience and connections we were hoping for, along with a great positivity and passion for the game that we share."

Chris Holloway shared his excitement at being announced as the new First Team Manager, he said: "I can't wait to get going. I've watched a training session and been in and around the place, and I really want to get started and meet the girls.

"When I look at this squad of players, it excites me. There's definitely a lot of talent."

Paula added, "We spoke to players last night following our postponed game, and everyone is excited to get going. Chris will be straight to it in training this evening and his first game in charge will be our league match at York Sport Stadium against Chorley Women this Sunday."
