A York mum's Disney-themed fundraiser has raised more than £1,000 for charity as part of her London Marathon effort. Casey Brett from South Bank, decided to enter the London Marathon after a battle with sepsis made her want to live her life.
On the the 27th of January, Casey organised a Disney-themed fundraiser and disco at The Quakerwood Pub in Acomb.
During the course the weekend, she managed to raise £1,010. Children in attendance enjoyed games, a DJ and the presence of four Disney princesses. Pub owner, Bex said that the whole day was magical from start to finish.
