The 34-year-old will stay at York City for the 2024/25 season, penning a deal to continue through to the summer of 2025.

John-Lewis hit a century of appearances in red and blue for City towards the back end of the 2023/24 season, netting a number of pivotal goals along the way too.

Goals against Southend and Aldershot in the National League secured significant victories for the Minstermen, which proved in the long term as survival was clinched on the final day.

The forward also bagged a brace against Chester at home, setting up a Second Round Emirates FA Cup tie live on the BBC at the LNER Community Stadium against Wigan Athletic.

After 45 appearances across all competitions last season, John-Lewis found the net ten times for York.

Subject to league and FA approval.
