The Acaster Malbis village pub is reopening today under a new landlord and lady. The Ship Inn has only just managed to recover from the flooding that occurred earlier this month. this was due to the river Ouse rising to more than 4 metres higher than normal summer levels.
The new owners Ian Nilsson-Forrest and his sister Robyn posted on social media that they had been working hard to clean up. "It shall be only drinks for now, whilst we are still dealing with issues in the kitchen due to the flooding in the area," they said. "We look forward to seeing everyone and getting to know you all."
