Appeal issued after dog altercation in York

North Yorkshire Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses after a guide dog, a black Labrador cross, was injured during a confrontation with a grey lurcher dog in Clifton Park Avenue. 

The altercation happened on Sunday 23rd April at around 9.20am where the guide dog sustained an injury to her back and was taken to the vets for treatment.  

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward. They are also appealing to anyone who may have captured the altercation with their doorbell or home CCTV cameras to contact the police.
