A local York sports club has exceeded its fundraising target to help replace its old faulty existing floodlights.
York Railway Institute sports club launched the community crowdfunding campaign named ‘Keep the Lights On’ initially set to raise the steep amount of £20,000, which it reached in 9 days with the current amount totalling almost £30,000.
The additional funding will be used to help the maintenance[jj1] of the club with travel costs for fixtures and enabling more room for its football, rugby and Netball teams of all ages.
