The Lord Mayor of York is set to lose Mansion House as part of budget cuts by City of York Council.
The council’s administration is proposing cutbacks in an attempt to save £40 million in funding over the next four years.
Other suggested cutbacks include reducing the civic budget by a minimum of £10,000 for 2024/25, reduced use of ceremonial attire and decreased use of the Mayor's car meaning an increased use in public transport.
