More than 100,000 books for sale – as Britain’s largest book fair returns to York

York National Book Fair is back with some tremendous deals.

Held over two days, the fair will be attended by over 200 booksellers from the UK and around the world and will offer a variety of books, posters, manuscripts, maps, prints and more for sale.

The York National Book Fair will take place in the Knavesmire Suite at York Racecourse on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September 2023.

The York Book Fair was first established in 1974 but has since then grown into the largest rare, antiquarian and out-of-print book fair in the UK.

Visitors to the fair can expect to find over 100,000 books for sale: from books over 500 years old to review copies of recently published works. It’s not just for book dealers though, and is open to everyone young and old.

If you’ve ever had an interest in book collecting – this could be a great place to start.

The book fair is open from 12pm to 7pm on the Friday and 10am to 5pm on the Saturday.

You can register for an advance complimentary ticket via the York Book Fair website, otherwise it’s £2 admission on the door.
