North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of a bicycle in Clifton.

It happened on Thursday 28 March at 4.30pm on Burdyke Avenue, and involved the theft of a bright-orange Apollo Radar mountain bike.

The bike has black mudguards and saddle, and is distinctive in that there is black duct tape around the centre post of the handlebars.

North Yorkshire Police are particularly appealing for any local CCTV or video doorbell footage that may assist the investigation.

The suspect is known to have ridden off towards Clifton Backies. He is described as a white male, of slim build, aged about 17-20 years old, with short dark hair and large ears. He was wearing a dark puffa-style jacket and black jogging bottoms with a thick white stripe on the upper thigh area.
