St Peters school in York has raised over £12,000 to aid the Ukraine appeal.

The school initially aimed to raise £400 but after that goal was reached they decided to keep going.

The money raised was used to fund the purchase of 3 mini-buses for the York based charity Canoe for Ukraine, that will be utilised to transport essentials such as medical kits and blankets to Ukraine this bank holiday weekend. The man who co-ordinated the appeal, Reverend Daniel Jones expressed how heartened how was at how much the school community wanted to help Ukraine.
